Cherryville CFS has two appliances (trucks) – a large “24” appliance, and a smaller Quick response appliance (QRV).

Cherryville 24 is a 4 wheel drive Hino, and carries 2000 litres of water. It carries equipment to deal with rural fires. It also carries a chainsaw to deal with fallen trees, and is equipped with a GPS unit.

Cherryville QRV is used specifically for rural fires, where access may be difficult, due to narrow roads, or steep terrain. It has 500 litres of water, and is equipped with a chainsaw and GPS unit.
